so today was our ULTIMATE frisbee game. the third one of the season. the first we lost, the second we won, but today's wasn't so hott. i was supposed to be covering this chick who had like 30 more pounds of muscle than me...she looked like a friggen soccer player or something. she was a beast..not to mention a grad student. i had such a hard time covering her...so she threw and caught some amazing passes that i was ALWAYS inches away from blocking. it really sucked cuz there was nothing left in me to try harder. she was just better than me (which i hate admitting). so there needs to be 3 girls out of 7 players on the field that play the whole time. well i was one, patty was two but she's been injured for a week and can't even run, and we had our RA (who has never played before) play the third girl.

neways we lost. i was pissed. ryan (captain) didn't make it much easier...and he knew it too. he gets WAYYY into the game and forgets that i am a real big pussy when it comes to losing. so even though he didnt directly say anything to me...his attitude just made me feel even worse. kinda like i lost it for the team since this chik like dominated the points. i even ended up shedding a few tears when i got back to my room cuz i felt so bad.

but after dinner, we came back to one of our teammates room to play catch phrase. at the end of the game patty and i decided to go back to our room for a quick second. we get into our room and the lights are out and the music and tv are off.  the 1st thing we see are flowers set up on a chair. i swore it was gonna be another ted bundy thing and some stalker serial killer was gonna jump out and kill patty and i. but when we turned on the light, there were so many surprises...and the guys (who followed us down the hall) popped out behind us and yelled SURPRISE!

so basically, ryan and chris (captain and co-captain) felt kinda bad for the way they acted towards patty and i. i was mostly just mad at myself for being such a pussy...but they felt they didnt make it any easier for us.

sooo...thank you guys! it really meant a lot to patty and i. and to ryan and chris: we are totally not the slightest bit mad at you guys. we are SO lucky to have you guys as friends. Thank you so much. We friggen love you both so much.
